How It All Started
It began with a simple observation: businesses everywhere were struggling with software that didn't quite fit their needs — either too generic, too complicated, or too expensive.
In 2013, our founders started Advantage Online with a mission to build custom software that actually solves problems. Our first project was a tour management system for a friend's safari company. The challenge was fascinating: create software for an industry overlooked by mainstream SaaS companies, with unique workflows around multi-currency quotations, seasonal pricing, and hotel coordination.
That project taught us a valuable lesson: the best software comes from deeply understanding the problem domain, not just technical prowess.
From that foundation, we expanded into event management (building Karibisha Events), retail POS systems, CRM solutions, and various enterprise applications. Each project reinforced our belief that custom-built software, tailored to specific needs, delivers far more value than trying to force-fit generic solutions.
Today, from our office in Karen's Watermark Business Park, we work with clients across tourism, events, retail, healthcare, and enterprise sectors — some local, many international. Our team has grown, our capabilities have deepened, but our mission remains: build software that people love to use and that solves real business problems.
